On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, International Talk took place via Zoom as an activity of Global Lounge. Twenty people, including students and faculty members, joined the event.

Mr. SOIEFER Alexander, an undergraduate student from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, was featured as a speaker. He introduced his country "USA" in English! Ms. TU Yuan, a graduate student, commonly known as Joy, acted as the MC for the event.

The presentation was an excellent overview of the USA, including its geography, history, sports, traditional food, and personal history. The great thing about his explanation is the cute picture images. He kept the audience interested by showing images and making the presentation convincing and meaningful. His talk about the problem of food shortages due to environmental change deeply gave the audience food for thought.

Many other attractive things cannot be fully described here (see the pictures below). The audience was attracted by his slide materials, completely losing track of time. People there didn't even notice that it was past the scheduled time!

The Q&A session was limited due to time constraints, but it was interesting to learn about the cultural difference between USA and Japan.

The next International Talk will be held in July via Zoom. Don't miss it!
