On Thursday, October 4, 2007, a delegation from Shandong Academy of Science, China, headed by President LI Haijian, visited The University of Aizu. After visiting several laboratories, members of the delegation spoke with President Tsunoyama of the University and agreed to establish a framework for cooperation regarding research and technology in areas of common interest. Cooperation in the form of mutual visits, joint research between the two institutions will be expected and a visit by President Tsunoyama to the Academy is also under consideration.
