the Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society, July 8,
2025
Prof. Ben Abdallah has been elected as a
full member of the international honor society, Sigma Xi (The
Scientific Research Honor Society).
Sigma Xi was founded at Cornell University in 1886, and is
a traditional academic society whose members have included
researchers who have made significant contributions to the
advancement of science, such as Albert Einstein and Barbara
McClintock.
Membership is by invitation only, and researchers who
have outstanding research achievements or outstanding
potential are recommended and approved after a review
process.
Prof. Ben Abdallah conducts research in the areas of
neuromorphic circuits and systems, advanced on-chip
interconnects for 3D integrated circuits (3D-ICs), and
embedded computing. His work reflects a multidisciplinary
focus, integrating hardware architecture, intelligent
computing, and system-level design to support the
development of energy-efficient and adaptive technologies.
His contributions include academic publications,
collaborative projects, and a range of innovations aimed at
advancing emerging computing systems and platforms.

Dr.
Abderazek Ben Abdallah of the University of Aizu, was
awarded the Presidential Prize from the Republic of
Tunisia. In
Tunisia, the day when the school year ends is designated
as the "Knowledge Day" and the Tunisian Government
honors educators and researchers who accomplish great
achievements in their areas of specialization on this
day. On
Thursday, July 15, the Knowledge Day of this year, Dr.
Abderazek Ben Abdallah was awarded the Presidential
Prize of Scientific Research and Technology to honor
outstanding achievements in creation and innovation of
technology. He was awarded the prize for his outstanding
research and development of information systems and
applications in biomedical fields. The ceremony was held in
Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, to honor the laureates,
and a testimonial was presented to Dr. Ben Abdallah by
Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi on behalf of President
Zine
el Abidine Ben Ali.

Prof. Abderazek Ben Abdallah was a member of the
High-Level Committee for Science and Technology in Tunis,
under the leadership of the Prime Minister of Tunisia. He
was in charge of the ICT Working Group, advising the
Tunisian government on promoting the ICT sector in the
country.
