1993: Ph.D. (Candidate of Sciences) in Computer Science from the Institute of Informatics Systems of the Siberian Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences. 1978-1987: engineer, researcher, and senior researcher at the Novosibirsk State Technical University. 1987-2000: researcher, senior researcher at the Computing Center of the Siberian Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk. 1997 - present: Visiting Researcher; Associate Professor, Senior Associate Professor; Full Professor in the Knowledge Engineering Lab at the University of Aizu.
