Japanese Language Tutoring System
University of Aizu has a Japanese language tutor system. International students can receive one-on-one support from Japanese students.
This year, 20 international students took advantage of the Japanese language tutoring system. You can enjoy talking about your favorite anime or learning about things you didn't understand in class.
Job Hunting Support
Career education for international students is provided in the main curriculum "Business Japanese".
In Japan, it is common to start job hunting from the 3rd year undergraduate and the 1st year master's.
Let's understand Japan's unique job hunting style and learn how to attack it.
It often happens that you can speak Japanese with your friends, but you don't understand the Japanese that people in the company speak.
When job hunting starts, there will be more opportunities to hear and speak business honorific.
You can practice business honorific through role play during a conversation class or spring vacation classes.
Company Briefings on Campus
At the University of Aizu, company briefings are held on campus.
International students do not have to go to Tokyo or Osaka, and they can directly contact famous large companies on campus.
Some companies explain in English, but most do not distinguish between Japanese and international students, and they explain in Japanese.
If you think about getting a job in Japan, you must have the ability to communicate in Japanese.
Employment Support Office
There is an Employment Support Office in the University of Aizu. There are support such as consultation and advice about employment, and practice of interview. Consultation is in Japanese only.
Counselors support International students in job hunting through collaboration with a Japanese language teacher.
Counselors and the Japanese language teacher always share information and send out necessary information for international students to find jobs.
