On Saturday, December 4, 2021, President Miyazaki of the University of Aizu, together with Governor Uchibori of Fukushima Prefecture and Mayor Muroi of Aizuwakamatsu, attended a lunch meeting with Prime Minister Kishida, who visited Aizuwakamatsu City.

During the lunch meeting, President Miyazaki explained that the University of Aizu is a university specializing in ICT and has long been deeply involved in the super city initiatives of Aizu Wakamatsu City. He also mentioned the results of the IT human resource development project supported by the prefecture for the past four years, and explained that jobs in the ICT field are suitable for women.
Councillor Masako Mori (Assistant to the Prime Minister for Women's Activities), who was accompanying Prime Minister Kishida, also supported the idea.

In the discussion with the Prime Minister that followed, Ms. Ayaka Murota (first year undergraduate) of the University of Aizu said, "I chose the University of Aizu because I want to use ICT technology, which has great potential, to help people.
