The University of Aizu has launched the University of Aizu Robot Valley Promotion Project and will proceed with robotics research and development. This project aims at contribution to the realization of the Fukushima International Research-Industry City Initiative (Innovation Coast) Project through collaboration between the Hamadori Robotics Valley and the Aizu IT Valley and the provision of technological support of robotics development using our strength in ICT.

To this end, the UoA concluded a collaboration agreement with Izak. Co. Ltd. (based in Aizuwakamatsu City) and tmsuk, Co. Ltd. (based in Munakata City, Fukuoka) at a ceremony held on Friday, April 10, 2015.

With these two companies, the UoA will carry out the following projects:

  • Research and technological development through the university-industry collaboration toward industrial promotion with robots
  • Technological development of robotics hardware, control devices, sensors, software and other peripheral systems
  • Software development complying with robotics software development standards


The UoA will also conclude a collaboration agreement with robotics companies in Hamadori and provide them with technical support.
