On Thursday, April 2, 2015, Dr. Kikhail Okrepilov and Dr. Evgeny Pyshkin from Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnic University (SPbPU (*1) visited the UoA and signed a Memorandum of Understanding for academic exchange programs.

Because Professor Marakhovsky currently teaching at SPbPU is a former UoA professor, the UoA and SPbPU concluded the general exchange agreement on August 6, 2009 (*3). Professor Klyuev (*2) of Software Engineering Laboratory at our university served as the liaison at the time. Following the conclusion of the agreement, active educational and research exchange has been conducted between the two universities. Students from SPbPU participated in international conferences held at the UoA, and their faculty member worked at the UoA as a visiting researcher, for example.

Based on the proposal made by SPbPU to further promote exchange between the two universities, the memorandum was signed regarding future prospects in the light of previous achievements. It is expected that the conclusion of the memorandum will lead to obtaining external research funds and recruiting international students to the UoA.
