Computer Science Summer Camp @ UoA2015 (*1) was held from August 18 to August 21, 2015. This year is the 19th edition of the summer camp, and a total of 58 junior and senior high school students from all over Japan participated. Each student went to one of three courses (puzzle/game programming, Java programming, 3DCG) and enjoyed learning programming under their UoA student instructors. Further, the participants got better acquainted with each other through overnight group activities at the beautiful Higashiyama Onsen.

The four days and three nights program was completed with the closing ceremony held at UoA Auditorium on August 21.
At the closing ceremony, UoA Associate Professor Yohei Nishidate (*2) presented a certificate to representatives of each course. Looking back at the fulfilling activities, some participants representing all of the participants commented: "I would like to get involved in robotic engineering in the future. Although it was my first time to try my hand at programming, it was fun and instructive for me because I was able to learn the programming from the basics." "I took part in this program because I'm aiming to enter the University of Aizu. The desire has been strengthened still more. I hope I can benefit from this experience as I will study harder."
