Two More Business Ventures Started by University of Aizu Graduates Certified as “U-AIZU Ventures”

"Novera"(※1) and "Aizu Computer Science Laboratory"(※2), companies started by University of Aizu graduates utilizing the research achievement and resources of the university, were certified as "U-AIZU Venture"(※3) by University Chairperson and President Ryuichi Oka on August 1, 2019. The number of business ventures launched from the university has now reached 23.
Novella(Kunitada Endo, Representative Director and CEO Graduated from the University of Aizu in 2011) was established in January 2017.The company offers "Beauty," an application that uses AI to suggest cosmetics that are right for you.
Mr. Endo said, "It is no use having only technology. We want to connect technology to services and become a company that changes people's lives. I want to be a company that changes people's lives by connecting technology to services.
Aizu Computer Science Laboratory(Masayuki Hisada, Representative Director completed the doctoral course at the University of Aizu in 2002) was established in April 2019.
We are planning to work with Professor Ben(※4) of the university on research and verification experiments for an Energy Management System (EMS) that uses AI to check electricity consumption in real time and control electricity consumption.
