I am an Assistant Professor of Technical Communication and Usability at the Center for Language Research in University of Aizu, Japan. I have over 7 years of teaching and research experience in technical documentation and interface design.

My area of active research involves user-centered design issues, structuring information for procedural tasks in user manuals, interface design and e-learning systems. I have published in premier journals and conference proceedings in the area of technical communication and usability. I am actively involved with IEEE Professional Communication Society and its Japan Chapter.

I teach courses in technical writing, technical reading besides other writing courses. In the past I have had extensive experience of teaching advanced undergraduate and graduate courses and corporate consulting in the area of usability testing, technical procedures and manuals, technical presentations, interface design.
