Implementing an EFL/ESL/ESP version of the Explorer WWW Client/Server System

Stever D. Tripp,
Professor, Center for Language Research

The purpose of this research was to convert the Explorer WWW client/server system for English as a Second Language curriculum resources. Currently the Explorer system is structured to accept only science and mathematics curriculum resources for North America. This project involved establishing a local server, enhancing the dbml to accept ESL materials, and modifying the system geographically. Plans for the database were reported at the International Multimedia Symposium in Australia.
