Fine-grain Parallelism for Cellular Automata
In this research project, we worked on the following issues
and some results were produced.
- Developing systolic algorithms and architectures for
scientific applications. Profs. Sedukhin and Peng produced
results on Discrete Fourier Transform and division-free linear
systems.
- Developing timing strategies for asynchronous arrays.
Profs. Varshavsky and Marakhovsky gave results on local timing
and asynchronous interaction in massively parallel computing.
- Visualization and transparency of algorithmic design for massively
parallel computing. Prof. Mirenkov had some papers on this aspect.
