Two major projects were launched: performance evaluation of the multiprocessor system and workload characterization of databases. For the first project a new generative model for instruction traces was proposed. The model customizes itself in a new architecture. For the second project Oracle database was chosen for its popularity. Our request for a joint project with Oracle Japan was accepted. We will be working at the job level.
