In cases where students have been authorized for early completion of the Master's Program, or students whose standard enrollment period in the Master's Program is less than two years based on agreements with relevant universities, these students may change their registration for Research Seminars I and II, which are full-year courses, to Special Research Seminars I and II respectively.

This course provides a general way of writing research papers targeted at top journals in computer science and engineering disciplines mainly for PhD candidates and Master students.

授業の概要
/Course outline
This course introduces basic knowledge necessary for startup of global business, and gives students an opportunity to consider the mechanism, speed, development in an open environment.  
Moreover, the course provides opportunities to know trends of ICT advanced areas such as silicon valley and their venture startup experiences, as well as the way to learn from others for improvement, to deliver the information on potentials of Univ. of Aizu students, in an open creative environment.
In addition, it provides the opportunities of discussion with CEO or developers of ventures to learn the experiences and knowhow on to find the global needs, create ideas reflecting the needs, and developing methods which are well used in advanced ICT areas.
Furthermore, the course introduces global marketing strategy, writing global business plan, and the approach to make presentation to venture capitalists and angels in order to get funding support. The course contains the fundamental and practical knowledge to give wide views for learning startup of global ventures.

The students can study the trends, the mechanism, and experiences, from CEOs and engineers in advanced ICT areas, such as silicon valley, and get an opportunity for students to consider the significance and approaches of starting up global ventures.  
At the end of the course the student should be able to 
・Understand the basic knowledge on global business, and try to apply it to their products. Moreover, the students should know the lean startup development methods, which is well used in advanced ICT area such as Silicon Valley, and know the “build, measure, improvement, and re-build”.
・Experience the methods for creating ideas for global needs.
・Develop prototype and write business plan for global business.

Have a global view to see the world, not only Japan but also the world. Pay attention on the news of advanced ICT areas, such as silicon valley, Dalian, and Shenzhen

* This course is collaborating with other program, Silicon Valley Internship Program for 2 weeks, in order to make good use of the knowledge and skills leant in this course, and have strong motivation for global business. The internship is not a required condition to take the course. However, we strongly recommend the students to participate the internship.
