This will make it easier for participants to understand computer programming and master programming skills, giving them feeling as if they were creating computer games. C language is useful to understand essential qualities of computing and software, and is also helpful in learning Java language. |

Each participant will receive hands-on practice on assembling a personal computer using computer parts stored at the University. The assembly process will include installation of an operating system and operational checking, so that participants can broaden their knowledge about personal computers. *This program will be conducted at the University of Aizu because of preparation of special materials for use. |

| 27 | Acquisition of involuntary English pronunciation | Assistant Professor Emiko Kaneko | It is hard for Japanese novice English learner to speak English without accent when disturbed by other things; thinking of what to say in a conversation is one example. To speak English without accent under any circumstance, "involuntary" correct pronunciation is essential. Making steady efforts is the shortest way to learn involuntary pronunciation. This lecture will provide practice methods such as shadowing (in which are follows a native English speaker's words and sentences closely and repeat after the speaker almost simultaneously), etc, so that student can practice English pronunciation by him/herself. |
