The 2nd Program of Open Lectures in English
As a part of an educational program in IT to be conducted by the Graduate School of the University of Aizu which was selected for funding by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science And Technology, the University of Aizu is offering additional practical and international classes taught by lecturers from companies and also domestic and overseas universities who are active at the front line of academia and business.
Along with the advancement of modern society in information technology, personal computers, networks, and the Internet have become tools of ever-increasingly convenience for our lives.? However, unexpected risks in information security have become a serious cause of concern and the importance of security increases with time.
The 2nd set of lectures in the series of intensive courses for Leading Edge IT Specialists focuses on “Information Security - To protect the IT society which demands knowledge and intelligence corresponding to the current rapidly evolving era of the Internet”, will be held through 3 courses over a 5-day period, and will offer special lecturers invited from IBM Japan, Ltd. and other universities.
As the sets of lectures will be offered as a single course, taking all three sets of lectures will be required in order to obtain a certificate of completion in this information security course.? However, participants are free to register for separate sets of lectures by individual lectures.? All courses will be taught in English, as is done for most of the regular courses provided by the University’s Graduate School.? University students, graduate students, and currently employed individuals, etc. are all welcome to attend the lectures.
We recommend this intensive course to individuals who:- would like to learn the newest security techniques from one of the world’s leading companies.
- are interested in going to a graduate school
- would like to gain exposure to graduate school classes held at the University
- are interested in studying IT-related content in English
