AY 2011 Autumn Degree Conferment Ceremony

記念撮影The University of Aizu held the AY 2011 Autumn Degree Conferment Ceremony on Friday, September 30. Seven students from the School of Computer Science and Engineering, nineteen students Master's and five Doctoral of the Graduate School had completed their studies and received the certificate of degree from President Tsunoyama.
From among those who completed the Master's Program, ten students were international students from Asian countries. They studied under the "Career Development Program for Foreign Students in Japan" (supported by MEXT and METI) which aims to foster human resources having high-level IT skills and Japanese language abilities and to promote employment of foreign students at Japanese companies. A two-year training program of expertise in IT, Japanese language and Japanese corporate culture, as well as support to their career development successfully led them into employment at Japanese companies.
President Tsunoyama gave the graduates words of encouragement by saying, "I believe that excellent knowledge and skills in IT and related fields you acquired at our university will give you a greater chance of global success. I expect your strenuous efforts to achieve your goal." In response to the President's words, Mr. Ravankar Abhijeet from India, who completed the Master's Program said, "We leave Aizu after graduation, but we will always remember the wonderful days we had in Aizu and the University. We will never stop moving forward to realize our beautiful dreams."
After the ceremony, the graduating students joined a party and shared their campus life memories.
