Five Students Awarded Doctoral Degree in Autumn 2011

dthesis-fall2011-3Five students in the Doctoral Program at the Graduate School of Computer Science and Engineering successfully completed their study and research in autumn, 2011. They attended the Doctoral Thesis Presentation Meeting to present their research results on Thursday, September 22, prior to the Degree Conferment Ceremony on Friday, September 30.
Professor Kanemoto, the Director General of the Department for Student Affairs, opened the meeting, followed by Vice President Sedukhin's speech. Then, names of all students who received a doctoral degree were read off.
Each of the students gave an oral presentation on research and answered some questions from the audience. They also received verbal rewards for their intensive efforts and encouragement for future success from their instructors.
After the presentation, they had talks with junior fellow to advise what was important for graduate study.
